Sports JAM
Saturday 5th September 2009
Now in its third year, Sports JAM returns to Bristol on Saturday, September 5. The action-packed fun day, which aims to get more young people involved in sport runs from 12noon to 4pm at Bristol’s Harbourside.
The event is free for young people aged six to 19 and will give them an opportunity to try a variety of different sports through the zones run by local sports clubs. Basketball, boxing, cricket, cycling, football, netball, rugby and many more are among the activities on offer.
Taking place on the Amphitheatre is the 'Project 360' zone where young people aged 11-19 can take part in activities such as parkour, urban dance, BMX and skateboarding.
Anyone coming along will be able to have a go and find out from the local clubs how to join and how to become more involved.
There will also be the chance to meet some of Access Sport Ambassadors and a free goody bag for those who take part in six zones or more.
